Using No-Orientated questions is essential to place your future potential employer and or HR at ease and give them the autonomy to answer you clearly and in full.
I use this technique on a day to day basis because it invokes a much better response from my counterparty.
Can you help me with...? -> Would you mind helping me with...?
Can I ask you a question? -> Would it be outrageous to ask if...?
I can only assume you have an NDA? -> Would I be wrong to assume you have an NDA?
These are just three examples of what a no-orientated question looks like.
If you don't believe me have someone try both on you and see how it either makes you feel.
Even when you are aware of the No-orientated question you will still feel a sense of calm and comfort.
Something about getting a Yes out of folks makes them slightly uneasy.
